Mobillcash m-commerce platform is a product created and owned by Vidicom Ltd, a UK registered company whose headquarters are: Millennium House, Foxwood Road, Chesterfield, S41 9RF.
In 2003 we began developing solutions for mobile payments. We recognised early on the limiting factors of standard premium rate SMS billing. Therefore we focused our attention on the creation of an m-commerce platform that did not succumb to these limiting factors.
Mobillcash was released into the online market place mid 2006 with two carefully selected merchants. The purpose of this was to test Mobillcash to an extreme. Both merchants are global dominators within their chosen industry with a total user base of over 35 million. This phase of testing took place for 18 months with close scrutiny from networks, merchants and Vidicom before all were satisfied that Mobillcash was ready to be released into the global marketplace.
Within the UK, top level recognition has ruled that Mobillcash is a Financial Transaction Service and as such should be treated in exactly the same way as credit card services.
Between the August 2007 global release date and February 2008, Mobillcash achieved a merchant growth rate of over 1,600%. On February 28th 2008 Mobillcash billing requests exceeded $1,000,000 per month.
